2020 was BWA’s 21st year of designing and producing the Vanity Fair Oscar Party. The event was again held at the Wallis Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts as well as the Beverly Hills City Hall Plaza. Guests entered through the main entrance of the Wallis Annenberg Center and were directed through a corridor of floor to ceiling backlight images by Ethan James Green. A 100-foot-long red carpet serves as the press and paparazzi area with a custom fabricated backdrop. Illuminated, deep blue stained wood panels with 8’ foot high three dimensional letters create the backdrop to the red carpet.

After leaving the red carpet, guests enter a 7,000 sq.ft. party pavilion. The glass pavilion features a 30-foot high glass wall facing the historic backdrop of the Beverly Hills City Hall. Four large olive trees anchor the interior of the pavilion along with benches that create an ‘Indoor Park.’ Overhead, fabric hanging panels wind around the trees and are illuminated in a variety of colors throughout the evening. The graphics on the back of the bar incorporate all the award categories and nominees as well as large scale black and white images of nominees.
